Account information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, username, password authentication data, profile details such as your bio, birthday and gender when provided, and account settings.

If you choose a third-party sign-in provider, that provider also processes information needed to authenticate you. Google Sign-In's SDK disclosure includes account contact information, potentially a phone number, identifiers, approximate location, and usage or technical information. Furry Walking does not have a phone-number field in its account form.

Dog profile information

If you add dogs to your profile, we may collect information such as dog name, breed, photos, and other details you choose to provide.

Walk and location information

When you track a walk, we may collect walk-related data such as route points, distance, duration, timestamps, selected dogs, and location data needed to show the walk route and calculate walk statistics.

Location access is controlled by your device settings. You can disable location access at any time, but some walk tracking and map features may stop working correctly.

Location-based maps and optional weather may involve map or weather providers. We send the location needed for a requested map or forecast. For nearby dog parks, the app sends the selected map centre and search radius to Furry Walking. Our server returns community-added parks together with a periodically refreshed catalog from Overture Maps that is derived from OpenStreetMap. The app does not send this park search to Google Places or Apple local search.

OpenStreetMap and Overture park records contain public place information rather than Furry Walking account data. We store the catalog release identifier and source record identifiers so both mobile apps use the same results and attribution.

Android beta waitlist

If you sign up, we store your email address, page language, consent version and time, confirmation status, and email delivery status. We use them only to confirm your signup, invite you to Android testing, send essential testing updates and one Android launch announcement. You do not need a Furry Walking account. Confirming the email is required before campaign messages.

For a closed Google Play test, we may add your confirmed email address to the tester list. Use the Google account associated with Google Play if you want to join. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee beta access.

Every beta invitation, testing update and launch email will offer an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to remove your address at info@furrywalking.com. The beta list is separate from your app-account marketing preference. We remove unconfirmed signups after 30 days and active waitlist contacts within 90 days after the Android launch campaign ends, or within 12 months of signup if no launch occurs. We retain hashed records of confirmation and withdrawal for up to two years to document consent and suppression, then delete them.

Optional Apple Health walking workouts

On supported iPhones, you can choose to enable Apple Health before recording a new walk. With your permission, Furry Walking records an outdoor walking workout and reads Apple-generated active-calorie estimates from that workout. Calories describe the person walking, not the dog, and may be unavailable when the device does not supply the necessary data.

Enabling this integration also allows us to store the completed active-calorie total and its Apple Health source with your walk in your private Furry Walking account. This lets you see the total on your other supported devices. We do not upload your weight, heart rate, or raw Health samples.

Calorie totals are not included in feeds, public walk links, other users' walk details, Lock Screen Live Activities, advertising, or analytics. This health information is used only to provide your private walking-calorie history, with access limited to you and the service infrastructure needed to store and return it.

Pending calorie updates are kept in protected storage on your device until they can be uploaded, and local pending health information is cleared when you log out. Turning off Apple Health in Furry Walking stops future workout recording and discards an unfinished Health workout without stopping your ordinary route recording. You can separately change permissions in Health.

Deleting a Furry Walking walk removes its calorie total from our active database; deleting your account removes its associated calorie records. Our general backup-retention policy still applies. Workouts saved to Apple Health are independent and remain there until you manage or delete them in Health.

Optional Android Health Connect export

On supported Android devices, you can choose to export an individually saved walk as an exercise and distance record to Health Connect. Export requires your action and device permission. We do not export your GPS route, dog details, calories or other workouts, or read Health Connect calorie data.

Exported records are managed in Health Connect. Removing a walk or account from Furry Walking does not automatically remove records already exported to Health Connect; you can manage those records there.

Social and feed activity

If you use social features, we may process information such as followers, following relationships, likes, public or shared walks, dog photos, profile visibility settings, and content shown in the feed.

If your profile or content is public, other users may be able to see parts of your profile and activity. If your profile is private, access may be limited based on your privacy settings and follower approvals.

Chat and dog walking request information

If you use chat or dog walking request features, we may process messages, request details, acceptance status, completion status, timestamps, and related communication needed to coordinate the request.

Device and technical information

We may collect technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash information, logs, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. Current iPhone releases use Firebase Crashlytics. Planned app updates use Sentry for crash diagnostics; the provider depends on your installed version. Crash reports should not include messages, walk routes, precise location, health data or credentials.

App interaction analytics

When app analytics is enabled, we use Mixpanel to understand interactions such as opening settings, searching, and tapping feature controls, as well as ordinary walk distance and duration. These events may be associated with your account identifier and app or device information. For Apple Health settings, we record opening the screen and tapping enable or disable; these actions do not tell us whether Health permission was granted. We do not send calorie totals, Health samples, Health workout identifiers, or Health permission results to analytics.

Invitation links may use AppsFlyer to attribute an app open or installation to an invitation and restore the intended destination. Android and iPhone analytics coverage depends on the installed app version. Beta waitlist email addresses are not sent to app analytics.

We may use account contact information and app-usage segments for customer research or lifecycle outreach about Furry Walking. These are first-party communications, not third-party advertising. You can ask us to stop these emails by replying unsubscribe or contacting us. Apple Health data is not used to select recipients or personalize outreach.

Push notification data

If you enable push notifications, we may process notification tokens and notification preferences to send app-related notifications, such as messages, walk updates, follower activity, dog walking requests, or other relevant app events.

English

You must be at least 16 to create a Furry Walking account. This is our product policy; it is not a statement of complete legal compliance or an age rule for paid dog walking.

In app versions with the age check, we ask for your date of birth before signup and process it briefly on our server to check eligibility. We do not save this screening date to your account or profile, or send it or your age-screen answers to analytics or logs. An optional birthday you separately add to your profile is handled as profile information.

We are introducing the age check gradually. Older app versions can still create accounts during the transition without this check.

We temporarily keep a hashed, single-use signup token, valid for 15 minutes, and, when needed, its sign-in session association. Used tokens are deleted immediately; expired tokens are removed at server startup and hourly. After an underage answer, the app keeps only a retry-after timestamp on your device to pause signup for 24 hours, then removes it. Existing-account login remains available.

Vorübergehend speichern wir einen gehashten, einmal verwendbaren Registrierungstoken, der 15 Minuten gültig ist, sowie gegebenenfalls seine Zuordnung zur Anmeldesitzung. Verwendete Tokens werden sofort gelöscht; abgelaufene Tokens beim Serverstart und stündlich. Nach einer Angabe unter 16 Jahren speichert die App nur einen Zeitpunkt auf deinem Gerät, bis zu dem die Registrierung für 24 Stunden pausiert, und entfernt ihn danach. Die Anmeldung bei bestehenden Konten bleibt möglich.

Na vytvorenie účtu Furry Walking musíš mať aspoň 16 rokov. Ide o naše produktové pravidlo, nie o vyhlásenie úplného súladu s právnymi predpismi ani o vekové pravidlo pre platené venčenie.

Vo verziách aplikácie s vekovou kontrolou sa pred registráciou pýtame na dátum narodenia a krátko ho spracujeme na serveri na overenie oprávnenosti. Tento dátum neukladáme do účtu ani profilu a neposielame ho ani odpovede z vekovej obrazovky do analytiky či protokolov. Narodeniny, ktoré si samostatne dobrovoľne pridáš do profilu, sa spracúvajú ako profilový údaj.

Vekovú kontrolu zavádzame postupne. Staršie verzie aplikácie môžu počas prechodného obdobia naďalej vytvárať účty bez tejto kontroly.

Dočasne uchovávame zahashovaný jednorazový registračný token platný 15 minút a podľa potreby jeho priradenie k prihlasovacej relácii. Použité tokeny mažeme ihneď, tokeny po platnosti pri štarte servera a každú hodinu. Po odpovedi uvádzajúcej vek pod 16 rokov si aplikácia v zariadení uloží iba čas, do ktorého je registrácia na 24 hodín pozastavená, a potom ho odstráni. Prihlásenie do existujúceho účtu zostáva dostupné.
